Plaza Francia is a public square in Barrio Recoleta in Buenos Aires, created by municipal decree in 1909, as part of the changes and updates that took place in the city on the occasion of Argentina's centenary. it designed by the French architect Carlos Thays. It is also widely known due to the presence of the Émile Peynot Monument in it, which was inaugurated in 1910 and was awarded by the French community on the occasion of the creation of the square and its centenary.
