Plaza de Mayo is a famous square and the main founding site of the city of Buenos Aires. It was formed in 1884 after the demolition of the Recova building. The square played an important historical role and a central location for most of the important events in the history of Argentina. and as a memorial of the May Revolution In 1811, the Pyramid of Mayo was placed in the center of the square, becoming the first National Monument in Buenos Aires.
