This stunning square in the heart of the city is an urban gathering place where tourists and locals alike meet and is the most vibrant place in the city. It is a beautiful and very old square, as all the arcades and buildings around it are from the Spanish colonial period of Cusco, which gives the square a wonderful historical character. In the square there is also a huge cathedral, vast gardens, fine restaurants as well as many local and international shops. There is a beautiful fountain in the center of this square.
