Antwerp's Famous Botanical Gardens First opened in the early 19th century, this garden in Antwerp has a history dating back more than 200 years, first as an herb garden in the nearby St. Elizabeth Hospital, and later as a valuable nature garden. Today, it still includes a group of rare and beautiful herbs, numbering up to 2000 species, in addition to exceptional trees and flowers.
