It is the main square of the picturesque town in the historic district of Nice and was designed by Joseph Vernier, and is the only road between the old town and the modern town. Since its establishment it has always been a venue for great public events such as concerts, especially the wonderful summer festivals and other traditional and popular celebrations that occur annually. The place is also an attraction for tourists to take beautiful historical photos.
