The wide and empty Hassan II Square, which was built mostly for security reasons, is one of the most important touristic monuments of the city of Tetouan, as it connects the old city with the city of M'diq. It is distinguished by its high-rise towers that surround the royal palace with guards standing in front of the long, flat facade of the palace, and four somewhat strange columns towering everywhere.
