Romania Square is where some of Bucharest's most important streets meet, notably Boulevardulus Magheru, Laskar Cartaggio and Dacia, and is home to the best university in the country; Academy of Economic Studies (ASE), but like many other public squares in Bucharest, the influence of its architectural gems has been somewhat diminished by the heavy traffic that passes through it, but its charm still lies in the old buildings, cafes and restaurants that surround it.
