Information about Phuket Seashell Museum
The Phuket Seychelles Museum or the Phuket Seashell Museum is a museum that contains valuable shells from all over the world. First opened in 1997, the museum is home to around 2,000 species of snails. It all belongs to the owner of the museum, Sumuchai Patamakanthan and his brothers. They've spent the last three or four decades building a wide range. Among his exquisite collections, there are noble Habiba (heavy seashells with assorted patterns), leopard skins and murex torso. In addition, there are some strange rarities and shells including the world's largest gold pearl (140 carats), large sections of sedimentary rock that contain crust fossils representing early life forms on Earth, and a shell weighing 250 kilograms! On the ground floor, there are many interesting gifts and souvenirs.
