The Perth Observatory is the oldest observatory in Western Australia, which is located 35 km east of Perth in Beckley. The Observatory has served Washington State for more than 124 years and continues to actively engage in public education service through daily school trips. In recognition of its scientific, cultural and historical importance, the observatory was entered in the State Heritage Register in 2005.
