Hang Li Poh Well was built in the fifteenth century as a main source of water in the city of Malacca. It is famous for being the oldest water well in Malaysia. After the occupation of Malacca in 1511 AD, the Portuguese strengthened the well and used it as a source of water. The well became used these days as a well for wishes. If you drink from its water or throw a coin in it, you will marry Malacca.
