Based on a primary interest in simple trends, the Beck Museum's collection is today one of the most comprehensive and important in the field of so-called radical painting in Europe. This collection belongs to the artist Paul Ege, who sees that a focused examination of the abstract image and its essence in art leads to an awareness of the present. During his life Paul decided that this collection should be given a name of its own, so the name was derived from the first four letters of the museum's name (Paul Ege Art Collection).
