The Peace Park or Parque de la Paz is the oldest park in the city, it was established at the beginning of the twentieth century, and is one of the most visited parks in Mérida, It is located near the Centenary Zoo, along with its green spaces, colorful flower gardens, and lush trees that provide cool shade for visitors, and is locally considered the gateway to the historic town center.
