Originally built in the 18th and early 19th centuries by loyalists who came from North Carolina to the Bahamas, Parliament Square is a popular attraction in downtown Nassau and a place visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. On the plaza are gorgeous pink colonial-era buildings, including the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Supreme Court of the Bahamas - a wonderful symbol of the country's past, present and future.
