This magnificent palace had a long and interesting history, although it is no longer used as a palace, it is easy to imagine the grandeur of the building. Now it is home to high-end department stores and offices that are among the best shopping malls in Vienna. The first palace was built on this site in 1435, then in the early 17th century the house was purchased by Karl Harrach. Unfortunately, most of the original palace was destroyed by fire in 1683, and the current building was erected with architectural design by Domenico Martinelli. The famous musician Mozart and his sister also performed some performances at the palace in 1762 when they were children.
