Information about Palace Museum (Beit al-Sahel)
Bait Al Sahel is the palace of the Sultan of Zanzibar, which was destroyed in the English Zanzibar War in 1886 AD, and it is one of the most important stone buildings in Zanzibar. It consists of three floors and white walls. It is located in Miznjani Road on the seashore between the House of Wonders and the old clinic. This palace was once used by the Sultan and is probably a good starting point to immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Zanzibar, displaying many ancient artifacts and belongings of the sultans and their families.
