The Monument to the Discoveries is located on the north bank of the Tagus River, in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém, Lisbon. This unique tourist attraction overlooks the Tagus River where ships left to explore India and the East and their trade, and the monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery (or Age of Discovery) during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries AD. It takes the shape of the bow of the ship on which the captain and the rest of his marine crew stand. You can climb to the top by elevator and see the beautiful panoramic view over the whole area.
