Information about Paddington Reservoir Gardens
A public park, listed as a National Heritage, located in the suburb of Paddington, east Sydney. It was designed by Edward Bell, and it took two years to build, from 1864 to 1866, when this park was a water reservoir, which was a vital source of water for the rapidly growing population in the nineteenth century, until 1899, and was restored in its current form in 2009, to be a combination of the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. When you visit this park, you can take a stroll in the green gardens, wide walkways, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax, and watch the stone arches, which top a water pool, which give the garden an exceptional splendor and beauty.
