The village of Orongo is one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island of Chile, located in the southwestern part of the famous Rano Cao volcano. During the past centuries, it was a populated area, as it was the residence of the chiefs of ancient tribes and important personalities, and it is still possible to explore the remains of their ancient homes, and today many public activities and national competitions are held in it aimed at reviving these archaeological sites.
