It is a wonderful bridge, linking Sweden and Denmark. It opened in 1999. The bridge is about 8 kilometers long, and runs from Malmö, to the artificial island of Peberholm, connects to a 4-kilometer tunnel, and continues to Copenhagen. The tunnel was created so that the road, and rail traffic crossing the bridge, would not affect planes landing at Copenhagen Airport. It is the longest combined bridge for road, and rail traffic, in Europe. And connects the Scandinavian Peninsula, and Central Europe.
