The Ethnography Museum is an open-air museum in Tbilisi, and the museum displays in its courtyards examples of folk architecture and handicrafts that spread in the region in the medieval period. The museum is also called the Museum of "Gyorgi Chitaya", an ethnographer who founded the museum in 1966 before the museum was transferred to the public domain. The museum occupies an area of 52 hectares, and displays more than 70 buildings and 8000 historical objects.
