The oldest mosque in the city of Bethlehem is located opposite the amazing Church of the Nativity. This ancient mosque was built in 1860 AD on the site where Omar Ibn Al-Khattab prayed when he visited the city in 637 AD, and this church was built to commemorate Omar Ibn Al-Khattab’s visit to the city.
