The Oman Oil and Gas Center is located in Muscat, and is one of the well-known museums there. The exhibition was opened for the first time in 1979, and then reopened in November 1995 to celebrate the 25th National Day after it underwent a major modernization process. The exhibition aims to show the origin of oil and gas under the surface of the land and how to explore them, bring them to the surface, and connect them to the treatment units, in addition to the final uses of the products manufactured from them. The exhibition was also designed in a way that enables visitors to interact with it through computers, models, and video tapes. It is a very different and unique museum.
