You must have heard of ghost towns but didn't expect to get the chance to visit one. The village of Palyas Senes, built to protect the inhabitants of Corfu from pirate attacks, has long been deserted by the residents. Today there are only a number of abandoned houses, a chapel and little traces of a previous human life at the site.
