Ocean Hole is a saltwater lake in the heart of Eleuthera Island. It is a blue hole with a depth of thousands of meters and has a rich ecosystem of its own, home to dozens of species of tropical fish that are able to jump. UNESCO has placed this lake among the most important natural protected areas in the world. The lake was formed as a result of the tides and receding waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
