The Nitra Synagogue is a stunning synagogue in the heart of the city that dates back to the early twentieth century and specifically back to 1911. It was built in a beautiful Byzantine style, but the Nitra Municipality has recently renovated the building to return to its old splendor. The synagogue has ceased to function as a place of worship and has been converted into a beautiful archaeological museum and landmark that tells the story of the city's Slovak Jews.
