One of the most important wetlands in Catalonia, the Ebro Delta was formed in the shape of a huge triangle surrounded by water, almost like an island, and joined to the mainland by what was the coast of Tarragona. Now, the Ebro Delta is a wetland reserve known for its birdlife, featuring rivers, sand dunes, and beaches, as well as trails. This area is a space where the barriers between heaven and earth, fresh and salt water, agricultural fields and indigenous plants are mixed.
