The National Zoo, originally called as Delhi Zoo is an impressive 176-acre zoo located near the famous old fort in New Delhi. It is a very ancient zoo that was opened in the year 1965. This zoo houses about 1,350 species of animals and birds from all over the world. The park seeks to provide an environment as close to the natural habitat of the animals as possible.
