Information about National Struggle Museum and Congress Center

The National Struggle Museum and Convention Center is located in the historic Saraduzu Barracks building, the barracks are currently used as the Amasya District Public Library and the National Struggle Hall is located on the last floor. The Saraidoso Barracks building was reconstructed, where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk resided when he came to Amasya in June 1919 and where the constitution of Amasya was written. Besides being a center where artifacts and some documents from the republican era are displayed, the museum is also used as a cultural center where various events are held. The moment of Ataturk’s arrival in Amasya and his reception was documented in 12 distinctive wax sculptures.
