The National Palace of Culture was built during the dictatorial rule of General Jorge Ubico in the twentieth century AD. It has a prominent architectural design that blends previous architectural styles from the Spanish Renaissance to neoclassicism, and it has a luxurious reception hall and a magnificent banqueting hall, and it also includes a museum dedicated to artwork, culture and Guatemalan history.
