Information about National Museum of Mexican Art
An art museum, home to the largest collection of Mexican art and cultural exhibits, including a vibrant collection of textiles, clothing, authentic tapestry, folk art, masks, antiques, sculptures, and sculptures. The museum was founded in 1982 by Carlos Tortolero and Helen Valdez. The current building is located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. This museum is also the only Latino museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, which seeks to display Mexican culture, in the largest Latin cultural institution in America.
