The National Museum of Australia, a historical museum, seeks to display the history of Australia, and the stories of its people through different eras and periods, including 50,000 years of Aboriginal heritage, and then the colonial period that began in 1788, the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and more. This museum also displays the largest collection of Aboriginal paintings on tree bark, stone tools, the heart of the famous Australian racehorse "Far Lap" which weighs 6.35 kg, 1.5 times heavier than the hearts of ordinary racehorses, and much more.
