Narikala Fortress Narikala or Narikala Fort is an ancient symbol of the defense of Tbilisi, and was founded in the 4th century, at the time when the city itself was founded, and has a charming architecture. Visitors to this fort walk along the Narikala Tourist Road, a 1,500-meter-long road that runs from the top of the hills down to the Old Town near the entrance to the Botanical Gardens, offering stunning views at every turn, and is especially fun at night when the city lights below.
