Muttrah Souq is one of the oldest markets in the Sultanate of Oman. It is located in the Muttrah area. The history of this market dates back to about two hundred years. The market cannot be seen from the outside. It is a deep extension inside the city. It starts with a gate facing the Sea of Oman and the Muttrah Sea Road, and ends with another gate. On the old city from the side from which it receives visitors coming from most of the Omani villages and cities. The market is a great example of the ancient popular markets, it is crowded with shops and exhibits on the sides of the road, where you can shop and bargain, and the market contains many things such as frankincense, clothes, souvenirs, silver, jewelry and many more.
