Mott Castle is located in the center of Mersin city. It is a historical fortress that the conquistadors took turns to acquire. It was here that the Greek soldiers settled and made it their stronghold. Later, Ibrahim Bey (İbrahim Koyu), one of the Karamanoglu princes, seized and completely destroyed this castle. The Ottomans on the castle, turned into its current majestic form, it is characterized by an outer wall and an inner castle supported by inclined and square fortresses, fortified columns and huge stones engraved with dates of construction and important events, in addition to the ruins of an old church.
