At the Buquerao Whale Factory Museum, visitors can learn about the entire process of sperm whaling in the Azores archipelago region, and its permanent collection reveals the activities inherent in the coastal fishing practiced in the area, from the sighting of the sperm whale to its processing at the factory, and whaling boats are also on display. Equipped with all the necessary equipment, the collection also includes samples of products obtained from the sperm whale.
