Information about Museum Van Loon
Located in the heart of the Amsterdam Canal Quarter, the Van Loon Museum is a magnificent private residence built in 1672 AD by the architect Adrian Dortmann, whose first inhabitant was the painter Ferdinand Paul. The interior of the house has remained largely untouched through the past centuries, and still displays the splendor of the Golden Age to this day. In the rooms, a large collection of paintings, luxurious furniture, precious silver, and ceramics dating back to different centuries are displayed. There is a beautiful garden and aqueduct in the backyard of the museum. It is a wonderful place and well worth some of your time to visit and get to know it.
