Since its opening in 1999, this museum has been explaining the history and culture of the ancient city of Tgernsee, as this city was one of the most important cities of the independent state of Bavaria. The museum contains 17 rooms, each of which narrates a dedicated part of the city's history. There are exhibits in the museum from the centuries between the fourteenth century to the twentieth century.
