The Kiev Aquarium is an educational center that occupies one of the buildings of the early central water supply system in Kiev, built in the mid-19th century. The museum presents the concept of "water" in the world as the essence of nature, and how man managed to tame it and transform it for his own benefit. Moving from hall to hall, one can trace the history of the first water pipelines in the Kremlin, get acquainted with the periods of formation of centralized water supply and sewage systems in Moscow, membrane filtration installations for drinking water, ultraviolet disinfection units and primary sedimentation tanks with a deodorizing system in Treatment facilities, and historic hall facades display water-related 18th and 19th century household items, and original historical documents from the past.
