The Museum of Victims of Political Repression in Tashkent is a museum that tells the history of Uzbekistan during the period of the Soviet Union, specifically the stories of the people who perished at the hands of the Soviet government. The museum is considered relatively new, as it was established in 2002 by Islam Karimov, who is the first president of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
