The Museum of Man, this wonderful anthropological museum, is located in Balboa Park and consists of four original buildings that formed part of the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. It is an ornate building with a historic tower that chimes every fifteen minutes across the park. The museum's massive collection includes works from all over the world, with a special focus on the history of the Americas. There is an impressive collection of artifacts from Native American cultures from the region, as well as Mesoamerican civilizations. Like the Mayan civilization.
