The Museum of Sacred Art in São Paulo was established in 1970. It is an art museum specialized in religious and sacred works of art. It houses local and international sacred artworks dating back to the 16th century, many of them belonging to famous artists such as the famous Brazilian sculptor Aleijadinho and the famous Brazilian painter Manuel da Costa Ataíde, the museum also focuses on studies and research related to the history of sacred art.
