The Museum of Regional Studies was established inside the house of an old Jewish merchant, and to honor him a lavish pavilion dedicated to Jewish history was built. This section of the museum houses old photographs of the prominent Jewish residents of Samarkand and some of their holdings. The other rooms of the museum contain valuable exhibits that visitors will find, including weapons, armor, furniture, pottery, coins, paintings, and much more.
