The Museum of Contemporary Art opened in Baku on March 20, 2009. The museum contains a collection of more than 800 works by mostly Azerbaijani artists and sculptors, but it also includes some international works. The museum consists of two floors, where the first floor contains works in avant-garde style, while the works are distinguished On the second floor, it is traditional, and the museum design is characterized by modernity and accuracy to be an environment equivalent to the amount of art in it. The museum also contains an art room for children, a library, a video room, a restaurant and an art cafe, to include everything the visitor needs to spend the most enjoyable times.
