Located in the Palais des Beaux-Arts in the heart of Charleroi, the Museum of Fine Arts was built in the Art Deco style by the Belgian architect Joseph André in 1956. The museum includes a large collection of works that date back to the period between the mid-nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century, and these collections illustrate the development of art in Belgium during this period.
