In 1919, Dutch architect Michael de Klerk designed a new low-cost apartment complex in western Amsterdam. To honor the city's working class, this creative artist designed an elaborate building using drawings and gestures now generally associated with the architecture of the Amsterdam School. The central office of this building was converted into the Amsterdam School Museum in 2001. A must visit if you want to understand Dutch architecture in antiquity and the place is easily accessible by public transport.
