Originally a palace museum, this magnificent museum is located in Schloss Charlottenburg, where some masterpieces of modern art await you. The museum takes its name from Heinz Berggruen, who bought his first painting, a watercolor by Paul Klee, in 1940. Half a century later, Heinz gave the city most of his private art collection, valued at about $450 million. The museum contains paintings of some famous and great people such as Picasso, Klee, Condo and Matisse.
