Information about Museum Adityawarman
Adityawarman Museum is a cultural and historical museum located in Padang. This museum was opened on March 16, 1977 AD and took the name of King Aditiwarman in the 14th century. The museum building extends over an area of approximately 2.6 hectares. The museum was inaugurated by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The museum preserves a collection of historical pieces that reflect the national cultural heritage, as it includes artifacts dating back to the Buddhist kingdom of Dharma in the eleventh century, such as two copies of the Bhairawa statue and the Amoga inscription (the original copies of which are preserved in the National Museum). This is a great museum and a must visit when going to Indonesia.
