This new museum was inaugurated on May 2, 2015 in Milan, in the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, the Minister of Tourism, the Mayor of the City and the Adviser of Culture. This museum is another important step for Milan. It will be a great place for international culture not only during the exhibition, as it contains the last unfinished work of Michael Angelo, a sculpture contemplating death and the redemption of the soul. In this work, the sculptor gets rid of the perfection and beauty of the human body and turns the dead Christ into the emblem of suffering. It also contains many statues, carvings, and distinctive frescoes, and it is a wonderfully designed architectural building.
