It is a unique museum in Chubut, Argentina. It specializes in marine and ocean sciences. The museum was opened in 1910, where the museum celebrated its centenary in March 2010. The museum includes fossils of many different types of marine animals (starfish, seahorses, turtles, jellyfish, crabs, sharks, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, sea snakes, squid and many others, the museum's holdings also include a large variety of sea-related objects, including models of ships, tools, weapons, and items such as pearls and mollusks.
