Located near Portillo Square in the center of Genoa in the middle of Villetta di Negro Park, the Museum of Oriental Art offers something different from the contemporary art museums of most cities as it has one of Europe's largest collections of Oriental and Asian art. The exhibits are divided into different categories covering different eras and contain a variety of works including Ming and Buddhist carvings and an array of well-preserved Japanese armor and weapons. There is also a collection of Asian paintings and bronze theatrical objects. This museum really provides a wonderful insight into oriental culture and art.
